I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of South Florida advised by Dr. Zhuo Lu in the CSA lab. My primary research focuses on the security aspects of Federated Learning (FL) in wireless communications. My work delves into developing robust security mechanisms to safeguard FL against various adversarial attacks, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the decentralized learning process. Besides, I have explored new security vulnerabilities in secure spectrum sensing methodologies and developed innovative spectrum management and defense strategies.

In this paper, we propose an efficient framework for detecting adversarial spectrum attacks. Our design leverages the concept of the distance to the decision boundary (DDB) observed at the fusion center and compares the training and testing DDB distributions to identify adversarial spectrum attacks. We create a computationally efficient way to compute the DDB for machine learning based spectrum sensing systems.
